Owen and I stopped by my office today. We had fun visiting with everyone and we're looking forward to our company holiday party at my boss Pauline's house this weekend.

Welcome Olivia Marie Hertel!!!

This morning while we got ready to take Owen to meet Santa, Andrea was busy delivering baby girl Olivia Marie. Proud Papa Tim called to give us the good news. Mommy and baby are doing well. Here's a picture of Owen's beautiful future wife:

This morning we got up earlier than usual for a Saturday in order to stand in line for 2 hours just to get these snapshots of Owen and Santa. :)




Totally worth it, in my opinion.

Then, to top it off, when we were leaving Ben checked his cell phone to find he had a message from Tim that Olivia Marie was born this morning!!! We're so happy for them and can't wait for Owen to meet his future wife! :)

First road trip - to visit GiGi!!!

Owen took his very first long road trip this past weekend. We went to visit my Grandma, Owen's GreatGrandma (GiGi) in Hershey. We had so much fun! Grandma helped me bathe Owen in the sink two nights in a row. The second night I accidentally put in too much baby wash and created an overflow of bubbles ~ that was entertaining! We also attended, with Cindy, GiGi's Christmas chorus concert. It got us in the Christmas spirit! Here are the pics:

Our good friends Troy and Andrea had their baby, William Wyatt, 10 days after we had Owen. Thanksgiving in FL was the first chance we had to get the babies together. Here are my favorite pics and a funny video clip of trying to get the last picture:

Thanksgiving in sunny Florida

This year was a very special Thanksgiving. Our family has so much to be thankful for. Everyone is healthy and happy which means so much in my book. We celebrated at Uncle Mikey & Auntie Lindsey's new house. We had lots of animals running around: Tucker, Mr. Kitty, The Mook, and Anna ~ Mike & Lindey's newest addition in honor of their 1st anniversary.



Lindsey's mom Sandy and her boyfriend Jerry came in to join the Thanksgiving feast. Lindsey cooked an amazing turkey with her mom's assistance. Mike did a special Thanksgiving prayer which cracked us all up. (He's so good at this, he's a natural.) We ate until we were stuffed and then played some cornhole with the set Jerry brought along just for the occasion. The parents even got into a heated competition at one point! :) It was so much fun and was definitely a Thanksgiving we will all remember for a long time. Here are some pics:

Today Owen was rockin' the long sleeved Ralph Lauren onesie that Uncle Marty and Uncle Ralph sent him. I snapped this shot when he woke up from a morning nap in the swing:

I rolled over twice before this, but of course I couldn't let daddy get that on video so I decided to spit up instead.

Pre-Thanksgiving ~ we love the Gribbles!

Our good friends Andy & Maureen Gribble host an amazing Thanksgiving feast for friends before Thanksgiving that they named Pre-Thanksgiving. This festive tradition they started dates back to 2004. They cook an incredible Thanksgiving meal, serve outstanding wines and everyone has so much fun eating, drinking, and just enjoying each other's company. Here are some pics from last night:

Owen is growing so fast!! Here he is at 8 weeks next to the big blue teddybear:

2-month checkup

Owen went in to see the pediatrician this morning for his 2-month checkup. We found out that he is in the:

50th percentile for Weight at 11#4oz
70th percentile for Height at 23.25 inches
40th percentile for Head size at 15.5 inches

He's a BIG BOY! :)

Then he got his first round of shots. 4 all together. He screamed during the shots, but was okay afterwards since we had half a bottle left to finish. We were given instructions to rub the bandaid during each diaper change. Let me just tell you that it breaks my heart every time, and I don't think I'll be doing much more of it because he sobs and tears stream down his face!

Owen meets Eric & Tim for the first time

This past weekend Eric stopped by, and then last night Godmomma Molly brought her fiance Tim to meet Owen for the first time. I was able to catch some cute moments on camera (with the memory card in the camera vs. the night Jonathan came by to visit and I snapped pics with no memory card in the camera ~ I blame mommy-brain!). So Jonathan is just going to have to visit again soon so I can get some blog pics. :)
