Owen Michael Marshall

Arrived at 11:11PM on September 19. Weighing in at 6lbs 12ozs, 21in long. It was love at first sight for both mommy and daddy.

We're timing contractions

Contractions started this morning around 5:45am, but they were 10-15 minutes apart. Slowly, over the course of the morning, they have started coming closer together. We're still in the early stages of labor. But hopefully we won't have to wait much longer to meet our little one!

I WON THE CONTEST!!!

The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to check my email to see if all my posting paid off. IT DID!!! I won the $100 gift certificate to Let's Dish in Ashburn! I'm so excited to try it and it couldn't have come at a better time. Looks like we'll get four 6-serving meals for our $100. We'll freeze them for the coming weeks when we're so sleep-deprived we won't feel like cooking. :)

Just spoke with my fabulous Doula and the nurse at my OB practice and they both agreed we should head on in to the hospital. Stay tuned!!!

I need to get a life

Tonight I stayed up until 12:01am in order to keep my position as the Top Poster on the LoudounMoms forum. I did this in order to try to win the posting contest prize ~ a $100 gift certificate to Let's Dish! I'm proud to say that I think I may have done it with 140 posts just today. I know, I know, I'm a bit of a posting fiend. But hey, I really wanted to try Let's Dish for free and everyone who knows me well knows that I am a little competitive. And there was this one lady who kept trying to one-up me! It was a fierce competition, to say the least. I won't know until tomorrow morning if I won ~ so stayed tuned for the news!

K, I should probably get some sleep. I'm going to dream about going into labor. Maybe that will bring it on. Lord knows nothing else has worked!!!
