Mommy's 1st Mother's Day!

I had an incredible first Mother's day thanks to my boys. Ben got up early and baked me homemade cinnamon hazelnut rolls. There was a fresh pot of coffee brewing when I woke up after sleeping in a bit. And my card was so cute! Mommy and Owen practiced crawling. I think it's going to be awhile before he really does it.

We had a relaxing morning and then went to church at 12pm. After church we headed out for part 2 of my mother's day present ~ lunch at a local winery. We did a tasting, bought a bottle and enjoyed the music and sunshine for an hour or so before driving home to put Owen down for a nap. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my first Mother's Day. :)

Herndon Rocks - #1

Last night we went to the first of the free concerts in Herndon with Kelly, Matt and Kayla. We had fun enjoying adult beverages while the kiddos played and danced to the music. We're sure it was just the first of many Friday nights ~ the free concerts run all summer. (Did I mention they're free?) :)

Molly and Tim tie the knot!!!

We had an amazing weekend celebrating Molly & Tim's marriage. It started with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night and then Saturday was filled with the excitement of getting ready, taking pictures, then the beautiful ceremony and reception. Everyone had a wonderful time and we sent them off to Italy in a flurry of bubbles at the end of the night.

CONGRATULATIONS MOLLY AND TIM ~ WE LOVE YOU!

We'd like to thank Aunt Hillary, Great Grandma Marshall, Pa-Pa and Ta-Ta for babysitting all weekend for us!

Owen is SO BIG!!!

I got this idea for a picture from our good friends Tim & Andrea. They have an adorable little girl, Olivia, and have taken this same shot of her. Now, I know that I'm short, but Owen is almost as tall as my legs!

Thanks Grandma Killi for the cute outfit!! :)

Richmond Wine Festival

This weekend we drove down to Richmond to visit our good friends Alevia and TJ and Sarah and Mark. Erica & Greg and Amy & Matt also made the trip. Despite the 90-degree heat and sun, we had a fabulous time tasting wine (whites mostly). After a couple of hours we couldn't stand the heat any longer, so we ventured back to Alevia and TJ's house to hang out in their awesome backyard. The little ones enjoyed themselves on the playground and by giving hugs. :) We ordered pizza and after everyone finished eating and the kids were asleep (sortof - Owen woke up a couple times, eventually falling asleep for good at 10pm) the games started! We played Cornhole, Battle of the Sexes and another game Sarah introduced us to ~ somewhat like charades but way more fun. Everyone had a great time and I'm already starting to plan our next get together.
