Babylegs

At the huge kid's consignment sale this past weekend, I scored an adorable pair of Babylegs for only $2! I couldn't wait to try them on Vivi and see how cute she looked in them.

Vivi didn't seem as excited about them as I was. Oh well. They're still adorable. :)

Spring is in bloom

We took this picture over a week ago, but I'm just now getting around to posting it. (I blame my first week back at work for my lack of real-time posts this week.)

The daffodils in our backyard are in full bloom again, so we did a repeat picture (plus our latest addition.)

Vivian's first day of school; Mom goes back to work

Today was my first day back at work. I accepted an offer to return to Patch as a sales recruiter, and the contract will last three to six months, possibly longer. I'm sad about having to be away from the kids for the majority of the day, but at the same time, I'm glad for the opportunity to return to the corporate world for the moment, and I know the kids are in good hands. The same ladies who cared for Owen when he was in the infant room at Kindercare are still there, so they will be excited to get to take care of Vivi and I know she will get lots of love and attention.

Owen loves his teachers and his classmates, so I knew the transition to full-time would be an easy one for him. I had him wear his "Big Brother" tee shirt today and when I dropped him off Miss Megan said that she would take him over to the baby room to visit Vivi during the afternoon. It was a whole lot easier dropping Vivian off for her first day at daycare than it was the first time I dropped Owen off. But I think that is just a result of being a more experienced mom. At least that is what I kept telling myself on the drive to work. :)

Exersaucer fun

At the huge kid's consignment sale I went to yesterday, I bought an extra exersaucer to have upstairs for when Ben or I need to shower and want to put Vivi in it for entertainment. I think she is the same age as the first time that we put Owen in it, we decided to give it a try since she's so "solid". :) She did great and had fun with all the toys that played music. Owen helped too. :^)

Baby brunch

My old co-worker Sandra invited us over for a Baby Brunch today. She's originally from El Salvador, so they served an authentic Salvadorian meal. Everything was delicious and it was so fun to catch up with Sandra and her husband Adam, meet their new baby Hugo, and meet their friends and their kiddos. We had a great time and look forward to seeing them again in May at the Reston Arts Festival.

Vivi inherited this pink JMU onesie from Kayla and today was the perfect day to wear it with our cute flower print pants that Grandma Marshall got her.

Reminded me of Owen's JMU photo shoot. Such cute little Dukes. :)

Swimming - lesson 13

Owen has been in ISR swimming lessons now for a few weeks. Today was his 13th lesson (the lessons are each only 8-10 minutes long, 5 days a week). He's doing really well and loves going to his lessons. His teacher Miss Nancy says he's doing an excellent job, he's very comfortable in the water, and that he has great breath control. Such great breath control that he doesn't want to float and rest for more than a second or two before swimming again. We're working on getting him to take longer rests in his float.

Hershey babies lunch #2

We had so much fun last time, we thought we'd do one more lunch together before we all go back to work in the next few weeks. We met up again in Fredericksburg and had lunch at the Olive Garden. Owen was in daycare, so it was just me and Vivi. The babies have all grown so much in just a few short weeks.

We had a really nice time catching up and sharing our favorite stories of adjusting to life with our new babies. :)
