Owen is SO BIG!!!

I got this idea for a picture from our good friends Tim & Andrea. They have an adorable little girl, Olivia, and have taken this same shot of her. Now, I know that I'm short, but Owen is almost as tall as my legs!

Thanks Grandma Killi for the cute outfit!! :)

Richmond Wine Festival

This weekend we drove down to Richmond to visit our good friends Alevia and TJ and Sarah and Mark. Erica & Greg and Amy & Matt also made the trip. Despite the 90-degree heat and sun, we had a fabulous time tasting wine (whites mostly). After a couple of hours we couldn't stand the heat any longer, so we ventured back to Alevia and TJ's house to hang out in their awesome backyard. The little ones enjoyed themselves on the playground and by giving hugs. :) We ordered pizza and after everyone finished eating and the kids were asleep (sortof - Owen woke up a couple times, eventually falling asleep for good at 10pm) the games started! We played Cornhole, Battle of the Sexes and another game Sarah introduced us to ~ somewhat like charades but way more fun. Everyone had a great time and I'm already starting to plan our next get together.

Grocery Store

Today Owen and I took a trip to the grocery store. I decided to try out the cart cover that my mom sewed for him. It worked really well and Owen enjoyed the ride. We had a fun visit to the grocery store.

Owen's 2nd trip to Florida

This past week and a half Mommy and Owen have been in Florida visiting Grandma and Grandpa (and Uncle Mikey and Aunt Lindsey) while Ben joined us for the weekend in Orlando (a birthday present for the four of us kids from my mom and dad).

I was a little nervous about traveling down and back with Owen by myself, but he did really well! We stayed with my mom and dad while they were in the midst of a kitchen renovation project. Needless to say, Owen didn't have a problem napping through the construction noise. :)

We got to see our good friends Tony and Dotty and their daughter Andrea and her husband Troy and their baby Wyatt. The babies had fun grabbing at each other's hair or feet. They were funny to watch.

Orlando was so much fun! The first day we just relaxed and unpacked. Then on Friday we all went to Epcot together. Grandma and Grandpa took turns waiting with Owen while us kids rode the rides. On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa babysat Owen all day so that Ben, Mike, Lindsey and I could go to Universal Studios. We got the "Express Line" passes so that we didn't have to wait in line at any of the rides and it was definitely worth it. Everyone had a blast and we're looking forward to doing another family vacation next year.

Here are some pictures from our time in Florida (in random order):

Happy Easter!!!

We woke up early today to go to the 7:30am church service. Owen was a very good boy in church in anticipation of the Easter Bunny's arrival at Ta-Ta and Pa-Pa's later. We got home, he had his morning nap, and then we were off to have lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Marshall.

They made an Easter feast and we ate until we were stuffed. (We were sent home with lots of yummy leftovers too.) Then it was time to see what the Easter Bunny left for Owen. Boy, is he one lucky little boy to have the grandparents he has! Look at all these goodies they (oops, I mean the Easter Bunny!) brought for him:

We had fun watching Owen delight in all the new toys and books.
Thank you so much Ta-Ta and Pa-Pa!!!

Winnie the Pooh Easter Eggs

After Owen's nap this afternoon we dyed Easter eggs with a Winnie the Pooh kit that I bought at the grocery store. Owen had fun watching as Ben and I dyed the eggs. We're looking forward to spending Easter Sunday with Ben's parents tomorrow.

Owen meets the Easter Bunny

Today we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny! Owen looks sleepy because we went during his usual nap time. Oh well, he survived. He didn't cry at all and the picture ladies were able to get him to smile for the picture we spent $20.99 on. :-)

Here's my shot:

Just because

I took this shot today when Owen was hanging out in his high chair.
Just because he's cute.
