Frying Pan Farm & Sunday Boating

We had an action-packed Sunday! Owen slept in until 7:15am which was a lovely start to the day. We had breakfast and got ready and then met up with Kelly, Matt and their daughter Kayla at the farm. The kids had fun checking out the animals. Owen was scared of the cows in the barn - they were mooing very loudly.

After we fed Owen, we hit the road to the marina. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa Marshall, aka Ta-Ta and Pa-Pa, and had a wonderful picnic lunch. Pa-Pa grilled up brats, corn on the cob, and steak and we also had fresh tomatoes from the farmer's market on the way. We were all stuffed.

We then headed out on the boat. Owen wore his life vest but it seems it's getting a little snug so I think we'll be shopping for a new one for him soon. He did much better this time compared to our last outing when he was teething pretty bad. Ben and I each took a turn driving the boat and Ben did a great job of docking it with Curt's guidance. Owen was so pooped by the end of the afternoon he fell asleep below deck with Tish and Ben was able to pick him up still asleep. He probably would have stayed asleep, but when Ben was stepping off the boat onto the dock, Owen's pacifier dropped out of his mouth and into the water. Luckily, Pa-Pa was able to retrieve it for Owen! It was a very fun afternoon!
