We met up with Grandma and Grandpa Marshall and Aunt Hillary at Silverado in Falls Church to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Owen flirted with our waitress and was entertained with Grandma's camera case. We had a great time at dinner and then went over to their house to have cake and open presents.
Aunt Hillary made an amazing double chocolate cake which everyone enjoyed. Grandpa made a wish and blew out his candles while Owen watched with wide eyes. He received a beautiful framed print of sockeye salmon swimming upstream from Tish, Maui chocolates and coffee from Hillary, a coffee mug with Owen's picture on it from Owen and a gift certificate for a massage from us.
And Owen received an early Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa Marshall ~ a really neat L.L.Bean sled with a padded seat and a handlebar so that mom or dad can push him from behind (or pull him with the alternative rope tow in front). It had arrived just in time for the snowstorm predicted this weekend! (Ben is sooo excited!)
