Reading

Just this week Vivian has started to enjoy reading books. Her favorite right now is Little Quack loves Colors, but she also will sit through Where is Baby's Belly Button? and two of the baby Sesame Street board books: Bubbles, Bubbles and At The Zoo.

It's so neat to be able to say to her, "Vivi, go pick a book" and she goes to get one, brings it to you and sits on your lap. Just like Owen used to do when he was her age.


I'm so happy to see that she is finally excited to read with us! After months of closing the book or throwing it aside, I was beginning to wonder if her love of reading was ever going to emerge.

Thankfully, I think she's getting there. She just needed to do it in her own time. :)
